Edmundo Gonzalez Falé was born on June 24, 1946, in the Algarve, having studied at the Industrial and Commercial School of Lagos.
His career began in the group Baby Twisters, and later in the 60s he co-founded the group Ekos.
At this time he lived in Cascais and participated in other large groups such as Conjunto Mistério and Sindicato.
Still in the 60s, he also dedicated himself to his professional activity as a designer in a studio.
His solo career began in 1965 with the release of his first album, followed by several others until the 80s.
In 1966, his first album "Ei...Eu Chamei", recorded with the Jorge Costa Pinto Orchestra, achieved some success.
In the early 70s he was a DJ at the Hotel Viking in Armação de Pera and continued with live performances.
In 1972, accompanied by the 1111 Quartet, he released his biggest success at the time, Big Brother Joe / First Gesture and Born on the Riverside / Espanto's green poem.
In 1973, he released Because Of You / Love and Let Live, then joined the Movimento publishing house, followed by a hiatus of a few years without recording.
In 1978, while a DJ, he was "discovered" by Dieter Dierks, a German, linked to the Scorpions and released the single Big Mouth and Let's Spend the Night Together (a cover of the Rolling Stones) and also a maxi single with some more covers
Edmundo then lived Portugal in his options, forgetting the German experience... And he sang in the clubs of the Algarve in his shows "Noite de Verão"
He participated in the 1979 Song Festival with the songs "País das Maravilhas" (Fernando Guerra), in the first semi-final and then with "Canções Em Flor" (Artur Lucena / Carlos Santos), in the third semi-final, and qualified on both occasions in 8th place, not being a finalist.
The following year he competed again, this time in the second semi-final with the theme "Our Cantiga de Amor", written in partnership with Jorge Pinto, placing 6th in that semi-final.
Still in 1980, he released a single with a version of the winning song from the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest, What’s Another Year, by Johnny Logan, translated into Um Ano ou Um Dia.
He was one of the singers who participated in the opening show of the 1992 Song Festival, interpreting several national and international songs, together with Nucha, Tó Leal, Paula Duque, Gustavo Sequeira and Paula Oliveira.
Part of this story is on the RTP website and Discogs.
He signed in 87 with Namouche Discos and saw the release of "Words", the only single released by the label.
Considered as a Portuguese mix between Barry White and Frank Sinatra, as he fits beautifully into both styles, like all music men he is an inveterate dreamer, always ahead with wild plans and a magnificent sense of humor. Contacted to record a single for RealDigital Real, he didn't hesitate, he joined the project with body and soul and recorded "Quem tudo quer," a Hip Hop/Rap version and a Dance/House Sound version.

We are preparing a possible new production...
